DERMAPLANING

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a skin care treatment that removes dead skin cells and vellus hair, aka peach fuzz.  An aesthetician uses a small, sterile blade while holding the skin taut, swiping the blade in gentle motions.
The procedure involves the use of a 10 inch scalpel, which curves into a sharp point.  The blade is used on clean, dry skin on the forehead, cheeks, chin, nose and neck.

Safe for all skin types and diminishes:

* fine lines and wrinkles
* superficial acne scarring
* uneven skin tone and texture
* white and black heads
* large pores
* dull, dry skin
* vellus hair (fine facial hair)

Leaving your skin ultra smooth and supple with a fresh new glow!

Dermaplaning is a comfortable treatment with no down time.  Some redness may occur, but usually disappears with a few hours.

Is Dermaplaning for me?

If your goal is to get rid of superficial acne scars, blotchy skin, large pores, age or sun spots, fine wrinkles or uneven skin tone and texture, you are a perfect candidate for Dermaplaning.  All skin types and colors can be treated.  These treatments provide superior exfoliation as well as remove the fine vellus hair from the face leaving your skin smooth and fresh, while helping to increase skin elasticity and collagen production to help your skin rejuvenate faster than normal.

Your skin will look cleaner and healthier after one treatment, but major changes (like reduction of wrinkles and scars) become visible after 3 to 5 treatments.  Generally the treatments are scheduled one-two weeks apart to allow the skin to recover.  After the recommended number of sessions, you may want to maintain your results with continued Dermaplaning treatments once a month.

Contraindications for Dermaplaning:

Not recommended to keratosis sufferers, people with undiagnosed lesions, active rosacea or acne, weeping acne (stages 3 to4), diabetes, auto-immune disorders, fragile capillaries, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis or lupus.
