YES, most makeup is safe to use, however the use of commercial mascara is not recommended as ingredients like glycol will weaken the adhesive bond and decrease the life of your lash extensions.
Can you get lashes wet?
After the initial 24 hrs after application, it is safe to get your eyelashes wet. For the first 24 hrs, please refrain from swimming, steam rooms, saunas and hot yoga a it may decrease the lifespan of your lash extensions.
How many lashes are applied?
Depending on the look and the amount of lashes you naturally have it can be anywhere from 50 to 120 per eye.
What is the microblading pre-procedure like?
Use mild soap and non-oil moisturizer for several days prior to your procedure.
Take normal medications and eat well
Exfoliate your brows so we will be using and working with new skin
Avoid alcohol, caffeine and ibuprofen 2 days prior to minimize bleaching, oozing or swelling after procedure.
Do not workout the day of the procedure as it expands the pores.
Do not tweeze, wax, tint, or have electrolysis for one week prior to treatment. If you bleach your brows, the chemicals will bleach the pigment as well.
Try not to tan 30 days prior as tanned skin exfoliates and bleeds and the pigment will not 'take' and will look blurred
No chemical peels 60 days prior after as those chemicals will fade the brows
No retinol/RetinaA or other anti-aging creams or serums containing acid 30 days, they can fade the brow prematurely
Any previous laser removal of eyebrows will result in scar tissue and the pigment may not 'take'
Reschedule if you have any active blemishes or pimples
What do i need to do post procedure?
The color will fade anywhere from 10% to 100% on first treatment. Your brows do not look as perfect after healing as they did right after the procedure. Right after they are done, the brows appear bolder and the strokes crisper but they soften in appearance in time. As the tissue heals, it sheds, taking some of the color and crispness with it. Eyebrows with little hair tend to lose more pigment on the first and second treatment as well as areas without hair, this is normal Very important to note that on your first appointment we go very light with the pressure of the blade, as going too deep can case blurring and discolouration. This may cause you to lo all colour, that is okay, and is a valuable way for me to be able to determine how deep your layers of epidermis are. If you lose all colour I will know that I can go deeper on the touch up. This is a lot better than having gone too deep and having to correct problems, be patient as good results are worth it. Everyone heals differently and retains colour differently and that cannot b predicted. Severely oily or dark skinned people have hair strokes may look powdery instead of crisp. Some areas may fade more than others. That is why we generally go lighter until we see the results. At the touchup, we can go darker, and we will fine tune any area that has faded too much. But, you may still have to powder or pencil after, especially for a more dramatic evening look.
What should I expect for the healing process?
4 hrs after treatment, splash cold water onto brows and then lightly pat dry. Try to keep brows 100 percent dry for 10 days. The drier you can keep your eyebrows, the better the results, this including sweat. On the 4th day, start applying a very thin layer of grapeseed oil as much as needed to ensure the area stay hydrated. Keep it clean by using a clean Q-tip every time. After 10 days you can stop using the grapeseed oil.
Absolutely no water on them, no sun, no sweat, Jacuzzi, swimming, exercise or exertion of any king for 2 weeks post procedure and after all touch ups. Sweat is salt and salt will prematurely fade, blur, or cause the pigment not to take at all.
Please do not pick. Do not touch the area and wait for the scabs to fall off of their own volition.
Avoid scrubbing the treated area for a t least a month. Put a thin layer of Vaseline provided, after remove gently with a hygienic gauze.
While healing, sleep on back as much as possible, and be aware that, at least in the first day or two, it would be helpful in healing to keep your brows as immobile as possible
Stay out of the sun as much as possible while brows are healing. After brows are healed high SPF sunscreen must be applied daily to brow area to ensure longevity as well as colour stay.
Do not use any products that contain AHA's, retinolA, glycol, or lactic acids or similar lightening or peeling products on the procedure area. These products will shorten the life of your 3d semi-permanent brows.
